Emotional Literacy

Emotional Literacy

The curriculum for Emotional Literacy aims:

Emotional literacy is the term used to describe the ability to understand and express feelings. Students have 1 session a week to help develop their self-awareness and recognition of their own feelings and knowing how to manage them, including the ability to stay calm when angered, or to reassure themselves when in doubt. The ‘Zones of Regulation’ are implemented throughout the school, and this is explored in this session so that staff and students alike have a shared language of understanding.
