We are proud of the fact that at Future Education our students take part in the nationally recognised Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. Students will cover 4 sections to achieve this qualification: physical, skills, volunteering and expedition. We are able to adapt the activities to the preferences of our students e.g. if they have a keen interest in Warhammer, we can include this in the skills section. We feel it is a vital part of a young person’s development which is intended to embrace responsibility, care of the environment, life skills, learning new skills and becoming a helpful young person to their community. Our aim is to use this award to help our students in building life-long beliefs in themselves, supporting them to take on their own challenges, follow their passions and discover talents they never knew they had. Afterall, when you prove to yourself that you’re ready for anything, nothing can hold you back!
