Who We Are

We are a special school which caters for students who have social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, including associated challenging behaviours. Many of the students that attend the school have additional special educational needs such as speech, language and communication difficulties, attention deficit and hyperactive disorders (ADHD) and autistic spectrum disorder (ASD).

What We Do

Through our unique combination of academic and vocational study alongside a range of therapy provision our students engage with learning and acquire the skills and qualifications they need to go on to lead happy fulfilled lives.

How We Do It

Staff at Future Education are confident and skilled in building positive relationships that help to break down barriers, build self-esteem and joyously celebrate even the smallest steps. Teachers and support staff take an approach that is trauma-informed and attachment-aware to understand the needs of each of our students individually and how best to support and nurture their progress.

What We Value

Success is so much more than academic outcome and here at Future Education we value and celebrate progress in many areas including social and emotional regulation, kindness, attitude towards learning, attendance, building positive relationships, showing unconditional positive regard.

Aims

We wish for our students to:

Become Skilled in making excellent, positive decisions about their learning, behaviour and well-being

Be Kind and experience kindness, learning to trust others and themselves

Know how Important they are to their community and the world is a better place because they are in it
